Off-The-Shoulder, Off-The-Charts

Runway trends often transcend into swimwear and the off-the-shoulder silhouette has done just that. Combine this flirty and feminine style with a gingham print, like the one from J.Crew, to try out two trends at once.

The Simple Side

From using lace and rings to connect the front and back, one-piece cut outs are taking over Instagram. This new trend, which also incorporates side wrap designs to cover the midsection, is the perfect solution to days when you aren't feeling the exposure of a bikini.

Cut-Out Crazy

This trend may force us to ask ourselves whether the tan lines are worth it. The geometric design and cut out trend of one piece swimsuits stand out in a sea of bikinis. If you opt for a detailed top, it could also double as a bodysuit, so your day at the pool can turn into a night around town hassle-free.

High-Neck, High-Style

This triangle bikini alternative is the perfect way to show some skin and still feel covered. The high-neck design has been in style for awhile, and it looks like that’s not going to change. Try this style out for yourself with this black swimsuit from Aerie or one just like it.

Novel Design

This season, swimsuits are focusing on using more materials. Whether you like velvet, lace, denim or crochet, there’s a variety of these styles to suit your preferences. To try out this trend, opt for this crochet one-piece from Aerie and take a unique spin on a classic one piece.
